What are your favorite japanese artists and what do you like about them?

(they can be manga authors/artists or character designers! for example, right now Huke and Redjuice are my favourite! I really love Huke's distinct coloring and way of drawing the characters' eyes, his designs are unique! About Redjuice I love his characters' compositions and colors! His designs have called my attention for a long time, but only recently, thanks to Supercell, I found out those were his works~)

You'll get 3 cards for your valuable opinion, I'm looking forward to your answers!
This round ends on January 13th!

Kazuya Minekura is my favorite artist. She's the manga artist for Saiyuki, Bus Gamer, and Wild Adapter! Her details are fantastic, especially her hair and eyes, and I like the way she does proportions and bodies too. I have a bunch of art books, and she uses lots of different styles!

I haven't read a lot of Kazuya Minekura's works, but I've seen a lot of her illustrations and they're incredible! I really feel like the anime adaptations of her works don't do her art any justice haha

I had always love Yunomi's art (especially for Just be friends), even after her tracing incident. Her artworks are filled with life and I really like how she drew the character's eyes and face - they are so expressive.

Another of my favourite would be Honya Lala (for DRAMAtical Murder) - her artworks are so colorful and lively! I especially love her design for Aoba, he's so freaking cuteeee

HONYA LALA IS INCREDIBLE! I wish she had more artwork, really! I've only seen around a couple of original illustrations and all the designs she's made for DMMD and her style is beautiful, I hope she works on more stuff from now on~

I don't have a specific favourite so it's hard to choose -- but off the top of my head, I'd have to say Kazuaki is probably near there! It's just something about her colouring and drawing style that I really love. Both her in-game and actual art is amazing, and idk. The colours are always so warm!

I love Kazuaki's art! I'm really sad that she never got to finish her manga properly and that she seems to not want to work doing manga anymore because her b/w stuff were beautiful, too! Her style is so unique I can't help but be drawn to it~ good taste!

I adore Kazuaki's art too! Especially the colouring style. ;A; I rarely read a manga because of artwork though... mostly I go for the story. >_>; Of course there are unique artstyles that catches my eye from time to time.. like when nakedape did Dolls, I looked forward a lot to getting original coloured pages. :3

I agree with you about Kazuaki having an unique art style, same goes for Naked Ape! I'm just really happy they're getting the recognition they deserve~

One of my favourite Japanese artists is Kouga Yun. Her drawing style has a certain simple prettiness to it and I like the fact that she’s drawing so many pictures for other series. C: It’s just interesting to see what other characters would look like in her style.

Another favourite of mine would be Mochizuki Jun. I really like her colouring style and the symbolism she uses in her Pandora Hearts artwork.

Oh my god, Kouga Yun's illustrations for other series are always AMAZING! I'm sure you've seen the Fate/Stay Night one~ I love her style, it's really clean and beautiful and the colors are soft, but they still catch your attention!

I really love Kazuaki ! Her coloring is wonderful.

Another of my favourite would Clamp. The first manga I read was Magic Knight Rayearth and their work drew me in the manga/anime world.

CLAMP is epic! Even though lately their artwork has changed a bit because of the different illustrators that have worked on the group, the style is still recognizable, it's like a trademark haha!

I love Kana Yamamoto's style a lot! It's admittedly one reason I fell in love with Di[e]ce in the first place because her art is gorgeous!

I remember back when Kana Yamamoto was part of the Acute Girls doujin circle; I thought her art was beautiful, but I admit I didn't really pay attention to her name until I found out she was in the circle Negahyst the PoT doujinshis, SCREAMS and she was the artist for one of the Togainu no Chi manga adaptations! I understand why you love her, her style is really clean and outstanding and her coloring is beautiful~
